Thank you for your interest in Miracles Happen. If you are reading this page then you are someone who is interested in improving your spiritual, emotional and interpersonal life for the better. You believe in being your best, giving your best, achieving your highest purpose. You believe greatly that you are called by God to be someone who will do great things.
You may have been on a self improvement retreat recently, or been in some form of counseling, or become a workshop "junkie"; still you sense that something is not yet complete. You have a growing awareness of the need to spiritually reconnect your mind and your heart. You have this nagging thought that there is still one more "thing" --what could it be?
That "thing" just might be spiritual direction. Spiritual direction can help you piece all these elements together: Your yearning for self improvement, for inner wisdom, for guidance in discerning God's call in your life, and your desire to understand your own wants and needs. It is just the thing you are looking for: Spiritual direction is the way to tie all those "ends" together so they make a more cohesive whole.
I have come to believe whole-heartedly that spiritual direction is always about helping a person grow more confidently, more effectively, more as you were called to be. The focus is always on God with the belief that you are already whole, but haven't yet fully embraced this truth for yourself. It is my greatest hope that I may be of service to anyone seeking God. I hope I may be of service to you in any way that I can.

Teacher and spiritual director Sue Wilhelm, designs and facilitates retreats and workshops with depth and creativity at Heart Wood Place in Adrian, Michigan or wherever the Spirit leads. She received her BA in Education from Notre Dame College of Ohio, and training for One on One Spiritual Guidance from Shalem Institute of Spirituality in Bethesda, Maryland.
She is co-author of Woven from the Threads of Abuse, a Process Journal Exploring the Grief Surrounding Sexual Abuse.Her greatest passion is sharing her experience creating sacred space, leading healing services, leading prayer, and companioning others in spiritual guidance.
