Fratres Dei Spiritual Direction and Ministries is an open invitation to join in the collective quest to explore what it means to be the adopted brothers and sisters of God. Steeped in the theology of Romans 8:14-17, the ministries of Fratres Dei were designed by founder Rachel A. Parsons, MA, to provide a platform upon which people of all spiritual backgrounds may pursue truth and seek intimacy with the divine. It is her firm conviction that the joy of spiritual exploration is an end in itself, and she is delighted to create opportunities for others to explore through spiritual direction, devotional ecstatic dance, and embodied theology workshops.
Spiritual Direction Qualifications
Rachel serves as a minister at People House Denver, and she is a member of Spiritual Directors International, the Evangelical Spiritual Directors Association, and Spiritual Direction Colorado. She received her Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Denver Seminary, where she completed spiritual direction training and conducted graduate research centered on the inherently physical nature of human spirituality. She has received formal training in Bethel Sozo, the Immanuel Approach, and HeartSync, an imagination-based meditation method for addressing issues of self-disintegration.
Spiritual Direction Specializations
While each session is deeply personalized and applicable to individuals of all spiritual backgrounds, Rachel's extensive theological training provides an especially helpful framework for those seeking Judeo-Christian guidance. As a certified spiritual director, Rachel specializes in ministry burnout care and prevention, general spiritual growth, the friendship of God, the inseparable nature of the body and soul, imagination-based meditation to offer healing in issues of self-disintegration, the dark night of the soul, issues of anger with God or misotheism, fellowship with the rest of nature, and LGBTQIA+ issues.* She takes particular care to create an aesthetically hospitable space to encourage authentic reflection, and she is happy to host outdoor sessions that involve short countryside walks upon request.
Rachel offers spiritual direction both in person and via video chat. Please call, email, or visit www.fratresdei.com to schedule a FREE initial appointment.
