Welcome to URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute
For over 60 years, URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) has been operating as a summer camp and year-round retreat center. The facility is owned and operated by the Union for Reform Judaism.
OSRUI is just a two-hour drive from Chicago and less than an hour from Milwaukee and Madison. Located on the shores of beautiful Lac La Belle, the OSRUI Retreat Center features 200 scenic acres where you will experience the silent beauty of rural Wisconsin.
Housing
- Total sleeping capacity – 279
- Housing accommodations include 49 double rooms with private and semi-private baths, 18 double rooms with conveniently located common washrooms, separate for men and women; and cabins sleeping up to 114 people.
- Another 28 people can sleep in the Health Center in bunk beds.
Meeting spaces
- PORT HALL
A large, open, carpeted room, Port Hall works well for indoor programming and services.
- SANG HALL
This fully carpeted program facility can accommodate up to 60 people.
- TIFERET BEIT AM
This facility offers a beautiful carpeted meeting space with a fireplace.
Recreational facilities include an indoor Sports Center, with a large gym, game room, and activity room, as well as several meeting rooms for groups large and small. For outdoor fun, there are softball and soccer fields, tennis courts, campfires, basketball courts, and tetherball. The facilities and caring staff are just a small part of what make a program at OSRUI memorable.
Meals
Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute, as a camp and meeting center of the Union for Reform Judaism, uses only certified Kosher meat and does not mix milk with meat.
Vegetarian and other dietary options are available at no extra charge with advance notice.

Perlman Retreat Center is located in South Eastern Wisconsin, surrounded by such geological and environmental wonders as a living bog and Kettle Moraines. We are just under an hour and a half from down town Chicago, between Madison and Milwaukee.
 Accomodations: Perlman Retreat Center offers modern accommodations. Housing is available for up to 90 people with comfortable sleeping quarters and ample bathroom facilities. Fully handicap accessible. Fully contained apartments available on site, on request.
Activities: Mukwonago has both an indoor and outdoor climbing wall as well as an extensive high and low ropes course. The Mukwonago site is surrounded by 600 acres of woodlands and open prairies. The site contains a private lake and is bordered by Lake Beulah on its southern side.

The DeKoven Center is a full-service retreat and conference center located on an 11-acre wooded campus on the shores of Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Chicago. In our second century of continuing education, spiritual reflection and the cultural arts, DeKoven welcomes individuals and groups looking for a place apart for meetings, workshops, seminars, or for rest and solitude. We also sponsor a wide range of retreats and quiet days, led by nationally known writers and speakers. Our Gym and Pool, Chapels, Reception and Meeting Facilities and DeKoven sponsored programs are open to all people.

Universities, counseling centers, educational and service organizations, music groups, quilting groups and family reunions all enjoy DeKoven’s quiet and peaceful atmosphere, which is conducive to their work, reflection and enjoyment.

| Our facilities include:
Assembly Hall - Assembly Hall comfortably seats 100 people and is perfect as a breakout room or for groups looking for a space that’s cozier than the Great Hall. Large groups use both halls for their events, while smaller groups hold their services and sessions here.
|
|
Taylor Hall – The DeKoven Center’s conference center and overnight rooms. Originally built in 1867 for Dr. James DeKoven’s work and study, it’s used today to host groups from around the world. Taylor Hall includes six meeting rooms, a dining room, St. Mary’s Chapel and room for 56 overnight guests. Large groups can be accommodated at the Radisson Harbourwalk Hotel, which is a short drive away.
Great Hall - Our largest space, the Great Hall can comfortably hold 200 people for receptions, concerts, reunions, banquets, dances and meetings.
St. John’s Chapel - A beautiful, spiritual space for weddings and worship services.
Gym and Pool – An indoor basketball court, party room and swimming pool are perfect for recreational activities.

Weddings - The DeKoven Center offers two chapels for Christian wedding ceremonies of all denominations. Both chapels have working pipe organs. The Center is a beautiful, memorable location for small and mid-sized weddings on the shores of Lake Michigan in Racine, Wisconsin. Home to the former Racine College, our nine historic buildings offer an idyllic location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. We also have overnight rooms available for couples and guests.

 St. Anthony Spirituality Center stands gracefully amid pines, maples, and birch, nestled on the bank of the Rib River. Enjoy the 45 acres as you walk the trails, looking for wildlife.  Facilities:
Your group will enjoy the large conference rooms, various lounges, dining room and chapel. The Solanus Center is a wing of the building that includes a large presentation room, private kitchen and dining space, and chapel. Smaller groups can utilize the Solanus Center for a day, evening, or weekend, and conduct their respective programs in the privacy of this space.

Our retreat facilities offer an ideal setting for conferences, workshops, staff planning and retreats - a few hours, a day, overnight or longer. Various sized meeting rooms and 76 private bedrooms accommodate groups of 2 - 72; home-cooked meals are available. Siena Center is accessible to moderately handicapped persons.

Retreats
We have an extensive retreat calendar with a range of topics: contemplative prayer, directed, women’s retreats, justice, earth-centered, and praying with the arts. We offer a two-year training program in spiritual guidance. Other options include private retreats with or without spiritual direction, and sabbaticals. We invite individuals and groups.

Facility Rental
Our retreat facilities offer an ideal setting for conferences, workshops, staff planning and retreatsCa few hours, a day, an overnight or longer. Various sized meeting rooms accommodating groups of 2-72, home-cooked meals, and 76 private bedrooms are available. Our auditorium will hold 250 people. Siena Center is accessible to moderately handicapped persons. Contact the Arrangements Office at (262) 639-4100 x1297 for information or for a flyer showing the facility and grounds. The Arrangements Office is closed on Thursdays.

Prayer
There are several opportunities each day to join with others in prayer. Centering prayer is a time of quiet. You are also welcome for the service of scripture and song in the morning, at noon and during early evening.
Library
The 4,000-volume library offers titles on monastic life, scripture, spirituality, world religions, liturgy and women’s religious studies. Peruse books and current periodicals.
Hermitages
For those seeking a more solitary experience, we can offer private hermitages. These small houses include a kitchenette, sitting area, bath and an outdoor deck overlooking the wooded landscape. Whether working on a personal project or seeking a deeper connection with God, a hermitage surrounds you in a silence and deep calm that cultivates renewal.
Spiritual Guidance
Those who want to reflect on God’s presence in their lives with a trained and experienced spiritual guide can arrange for a confidential conversation.

Whispering Winds Retreat Haven is a spiritual retreat house, a place to be still and be renewed by the Spirit of God. The house itself is a remodeled farmhouse located on the edge of Cambridge, Wisconsin, 30 minutes east of Madison, 2 hours northwest of Chicago. It is surrounded by 3 acres of lawn and gardens – a quiet, peaceful setting. The house has 4 private guest rooms, each with a private bath, and several comfortable meeting rooms.

Whispering Winds welcomes individuals and small groups for daytime and overnight retreats of any duration, from a couple hours of quiet meditation at the end of a busy day, to a day or two, a week or two, or a month or more of time away.

RETREAT OFFERINGS
Whispering Winds presents one or two public retreats a month. The retreats are usually a day or a day-and-a-half long. The retreats include time for prayer, reflection, meditation, and sharing. Recent retreat themes include: finding balance in your life, seeking God’s wisdom in life decisions, the wisdom of the mystics, and the Lord’s Prayer as a guide to meditation.

| Stone Light is open year around for private and group retreats. There are four cabins: the Crystal, Emerald, Sapphire and Rose. The Emerald, Sapphire and Rose cabins accommodate four people while the Crystal cabin accommodates two. The cabins are furnished, cozy and comfortable. Placed in peaceful nature free of the electrical power grid interference, guests are free to explore their own “empowerment”. There is oil lamp and battery operated lighting in the cabins. |

This private, yet convenient, year-round site is available for groups of 20-130. Our overnight guests sleep in spacious rooms in the lodge or in one of six cabins.
