Our spiritual path at the Sanctuary is very simple. It is the path of the heart, in whatever form that may take at any given moment.

When we step beyond the mind and belief and into the heart we experience the true nature of Divine Presence as Love.

We honor the human need to believe and to reach out (or inward) to Divine Presence through various forms & practices. But we know that when the Essence is reached, regardless of the method or path, it will be known as Love.

The purpose of Mountain Light Sanctuary is to provide you with a place to rediscover and reconnect with your essential nature, with your original innocence, with Divine Presence, and with Love.

The Sanctuary is available for personal retreats with guests normally being lodged at our one room Hermitage. It is the perfect place to get away from it all. There is a spacious porch overlooking our cascading mountain stream that offers you a quiet place to read, write, paint or meditate. Or it can be your base camp for exploring endless miles of national forest trails into the mountains. We require a minimum stay of two nights.

Group Retreats

The Sanctuary is available for small group retreats and it is especially ideal for groups focusing on Earth oriented themes or simply those who like to be close to nature while learning. We can manage a group of up to 12 for a long weekend with accommodations ranging from indoor guest rooms to outdoor shelters. The rate is $100 per person for up to three nights without food. Normally groups bring their own food and prepare in the lodge kitchen. Also, groups are asked to bring their own sleeping gear.

The Blowing Rock Conference Center is a Christian Retreat and Conference Center and is open year around. The BRCC is an ideal place for conferences, retreats, meetings, weddings, personal renewal and family get-aways or reunions.

A unique spiritual retreat for individuals seeking peace. Cabin facilities and Bed & Breakfast accommodations, open year-round. Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains of northwestern North Carolina.

The Center at Rose Creek is ideal for retreats for groups from all walks of life. Just 8 miles from downtown Franklin, NC gives us the convenience of access to all types of local outdoor recreation activities and shopping. Past retreats have come to the Center from Church groups, nature groups, clinical and therapeutic groups as well as couple relationship workshops. With a separate Chapel, away from our conference center, there is a quiet space for prayer and services, contemplation and meditation.

Augmenting Asheville's fame as the "New Healing Mecca," there is now an all-inclusive Natural Health Retreat Center in Asheville! Located in the heart of the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains, the Retreat Center is nestled on a private 24-acre estate, six miles north of Asheville, and boasts the perfect natural setting for a restful and rejuvenating respite from the hectic and stressful pace of 'everyday life’.

Building acclaim for its Natural Health Retreat Programs, the Retreat Center specializes in guided Juice Fast & Detoxification programs, rich with education, massage and bodywork therapy and much needed tranquility. For the vacation traveler, we have wonderful, all-inclusive vacation packages available throughout the year.

This is an ideal setting for other groups and organizations, such as weddings, receptions, family reunions, spiritual groups, religious groups and corporate groups wishing to conduct their own seminar or retreat program here, whether presented by their own facilitator or our Center's dedicated staff. Exclusive and intimate, our Retreat Center accommodates no more than 60 guests who will be fully catered to by our Gourmet Chef.

The Retreat Center's beautiful accommodations include spacious guestrooms, each with 2 queen beds, a private bath, and private balconies with breathtaking lake and mountain views. All our guestrooms surround a central Great Room with a 30’ native-stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows and sweeping lake-side decks.

Our expansive grounds include a rolling pastures with whimsical animals grazing about, a swimming pool, tennis/volleyball court and the private 2-acre lake, surrounded by a paved, softly lit walkway for incredibly peaceful evening strolls. Our guests enjoy many miles of hiking trails in this luscious 650 acre cove.
