Meeting Accomodations:
 LibraryExperience a cozy, intimate setting. Comfortable chairs, a wall of Christian books, resources and a wood-burning stove make this a favorite meeting area for conversation for groups of 25-35 people.
The Dormitory Meeting Room holds 25-35 people and works well for teaching retreats.
Chapel
The 130 seat Chapel is our largest meeting room and is an ideal setting for worship or teaching. It includes the use of a piano, organ, electronic keyboard, microphones, mixing board, overhead projector, screen, and whiteboard.
 The Bethany Meeting Room can be set up with tables for crafts or a workshop, used as a store or storage area for large groups, or traditional classroom area to seat 25-35

Small or large groups can meet in a home setting that overlooks our 30 acres.

Situated in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains and the beautiful Sonoran Desert, The Redemptorist Renewal Center at Picture Rocks is a spiritual life and retreat center that provides a unique opportunity for solitude, reflection, prayer and contemplative practice. Located on 120 acres that border the Saguaro National Park West, it is a site that appeals to the nature lover and gently challenges the more urban personality. With miles of trails available into the desert, the variety of the desert flora (especially the cacti) and fauna, plus ancient Hohokam Indian rock art (petroglyphs) located on the retreat house property, this place has an atmosphere that inevitable nudges those who come, toward the sacred. For those who come to it for a precious time aside from their demanding life circumstances, Picture Rocks becomes what is was for the Hohokam who etched their appreciation of life and its meaning on its jagged rock hundreds of years ago--holy ground.
 The facilities of Redemptorist Renewal Center are available for retreats, meetings and workshops for groups of people whose main emphasis is directly related to spiritual growth and development. The facilities that are available for your use include 43 private rooms with bath, including two handicapped suites and two suites that are typically reserved for retreat leaders/ presenters, each of which include a sitting room along with their bedroom and bath. A dining room with comfortable seating for 50 people; three meeting rooms - one that can accommodate groups up to 55. The renewal center chapel has seating for 120 participants and may be used only for liturgical services and for private prayer and meditation.

 The center provides an opportunity for individuals, couples and small groups to come and have an affordable and renewing experience of ‘vacation’ - one less fraught with tensions and traffic, more characterized by hours of time for quiet walks and for meditation, with no disruptions from phone calls and schedules.
For many, it will seem a return to a pace reminiscent of the less technica l days of their grandparents’ childhoods. For some, it will seem unsettling to have so few manufactured sounds, as they must now begin to hear the sounds of their bodies and thoughts, and become receptive to inspirations and natural sounds. For all, it will provide a needed respite from the constant noise and frenetic pace of daily life, and will allow the body to relax more deeply than perhaps it has been able to in years.
 From this experience comes a return to awareness of nature, and possibly a reminder of what is important in their lives. A renewed or brand new sense of purpose and intention will often result, as well as increased sense of well-being felt as improved health and greater stress-hardiness.
The Retreat Center is set on 80 acres of formerly undeveloped land along the Little Colorado River, on Highway 180 between Holbrook (off Interstate-40) and the Apache County seat of St Johns, Arizona. There is a remarkable view across the plains towards remote mesas and grand Mount Escudilla (‘the shadow’), Sleeping Buffalo to the Navajo, in New Mexico to the East and South, with the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest to the North between us and the towns of Holbrook and Gallup. We are part of the White Mountains along the Mogollon Rim miles to the West.
Our former Schedule of Events has given way to the predominate activities here, individual retreats and small group experiences. Therefore our only 'schedule' is in terms of who has arranged to come and when. Instructional weekends are available if you will gather your own group of participants, and we enjoy sharing our local community activities - such as bi-weekly Sacred Fire Ceremony in the Huichol tradition, nearby in Vernon, and the Concho Farmers Market a few miles from us - with our guests whenever they are available to do so.
We welcome persons of all faiths and spiritual orientations. Long-term hermitage opportunities available by arrangement with the Director.
