Programs Overview
Fresh Start offers its retreats on the Ocean Front of beautiful Vancouver Island and is a place, where people come to improve their health. The center offers 5, 10, and 14 day all-inclusive programs that focus on advanced whole-body detoxification, weight loss, digestive health and rejuvenation, combined with daily health lectures, exercise classes, hydrotherapy and emotional wellness workshops. Additional spa services, including colon hydrotherapy, massage, Bowen therapy, acupuncture and many others are also available.

Our guests enjoy a rich and satisfying diet of organic live foods, which include fresh vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts and sprouted grains, combined in appealing gourmet dishes. A variety of fresh-squeezed juices and cleansing drinks, teas and purified water constitute an important part of our programs. The unique formulas and drinks are specially chosen for their cleansing properties with focus on the GI tract, liver and blood. Our programs combine periods of eating, semi-fasting and juice fasting, for optimum results and a comfortable process.

The Stillness Centre
Our unique Stillness Centre, has a west coast feel with a touch of the orient to make it interesting. It is situated on the water front and offers views of Desolation Sound and the Coastal Mountains. The centre houses the sanctuary, the library, our dining room as well as our meeting facilities, the Infrared Saunas and the Fitness Facility.

The newly renovated Ocean Resort, located just south of Campbell River, features 28 beautiful Standard Hotel Rooms and 1 spacious one-bedroom suite.
Each unit is tastefully appointed with custom furniture, a reading table, lounge chair, hypoallergenic duvets, wood flooring, mini-refrigerators and Purely Saltspring natural amenities. Many of our rooms also have flat-screen TVs and private balconies.

Resting on 120 acres of woodland where the mountains touch the waters of Kootenay Lake, Yasodhara Ashram is a vibrant spiritual community. People come here from all over the world to learn about yogic practices year round. Swami Radha founded the Ashram in 1963 and it continues to grow and thrive.
In the summer the Ashram hums with courses, celebrations, and teacher training programs. Any time of the year, the Ashram is a place to go within, grow, and be inspired by the beauty of our natural surroundings.

Swami Radha introduced a number of yogic practices, including Kundalini, Hatha, Karma and Mantra Yoga, and the Divine Light Invocation. These practices are the foundation of all the courses offered at the Ashram. Yoga has the potential to help us realize our innate wisdom. In a supportive community with trained instructors, you have the opportunity to try the different practices and experience the results. |

Coming to the Ashram as a retreat guest is a peaceful and flexible way to experience life in this vibrant spiritual community.
