Providence Center, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence, is located at the heart of beautiful Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind., the home of the Sisters of Providence. The official welcoming center for visitors, Providence Center has all the information you'll need to appreciate the beauty, history and spirituality of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

You’ll find friendly staff members to greet you and a variety of brochures and maps to guide you as you explore the grounds. Providence Center has dining services, the Sisters of Providence heritage museum and a gift shop. It is also home of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence.

Enjoy a walk amidst the historic buildings at the Sisters of Providence motherhouse and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, attend Liturgy with the Sisters of Providence in the breathtaking Church of the Immaculate Conception. Learn more about Blessed Mother Theodore Guerin, foundress of the Sisters of Providence. Enjoy lunch or brunch in O’Shaughnessy Dining Room. Come for a visit, bring a group for a tour or arrange for a spiritual pilgrimage. There is much to see and do at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods!

Conference Room, Dining and Museum

Built in 1990, Providence Center houses the Sisters of Providence heritage museum and The Gift Shop. Brochures and tour information are available in the center. A diorama display of the history of the Sisters of Providence and the Wall of Memories photo display are located in a hallway connecting Providence Center with the Church of the Immaculate Conception and the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. O'Shaughnessy Dining Room and a small conference room are also located at the center. Over night lodging and rooms are available.
