This beautiful property is truly like none other. The vortex of healing energy created as the Pacific Ocean meets the surrounding old growth forest is felt by all who stay here.

Oregon House’s natural beauty and spiritual energy make it the perfect venue for group retreats. During the past ten years international teachers in the human potential movement, such as Andrew Harvey, Sobonfu Some and John O’Donohue, have held retreats here. Local groups of international spiritual organizations such as Yogananda’s Self Realization Fellowship and Thich Nat Hahn’s Sangha hold regular meditation retreats. Schools and Colleges such as Lewis & Clark College, Portland State University, National College of Natural Medicine and Linn-Benton Community College bring students, teachers and staff for focus retreats. Retreats are held in yoga, qigong, reiki, shamanic journey and breathwork and other healing processes. Being non-aligned, Oregon House has hosted retreats by Methodists, the United Church of Christ and the Santo Daime church. Women’s groups are a regular feature as are corporate and family groups.

For more than 40 years Oregon House has been operating as a lodging business. With its comfortable kitchen apartments, direct access to the beach, and lovely gardens, guests return year after year for the peace and beauty offered here.

All apartments have kitchens, private bathrooms and ocean views. 5 have wood-burning fireplaces and 3 have jacuzzis. There is property-wide wifi.

Yachats nestles on a gentle slope facing the Pacific Ocean on Oregon's central coast. Surrounded by verdant forest on the east, crashing waves on the west, and seven miles of pristine, sandy beach to the north, Yachats is often compared to picturesque Carmel. Pronounced "Yah-hots", Yachats is a small Oregon coastal community with a population of about 670, with about 60% of the residents being actively retired. Located midway between Florence (population 5000) and Newport (population 9000), tourism plays a strong role in the local economy. There are numerous successful motels, restaurants, art galleries, stores and shops.
