Historic Jefferson, which was designated by the State Legislature as the official Bed & Breakfast Capitol of Texas, will provide you with the benefits of "small town living", while adding support to your business as an established destination. Jefferson draws tourists, business people, and educators from as close as Dallas, Houston, Shreveport, and Little Rock and as far away as England and Europe.
Maison-Bayou has grown substantially since first opening in the spring of 1993. The 52 wooded acres now include three distinctively different Lodging areas..... the Original Plantation area, the frontage on Big Cypress Bayou, and the Poolside Cabana area. Each of the 12 units have individually controlled heat & air conditioning, private baths, and coffee makers. Plus, some have fireplaces, some have television, some have kitchenettes...... and all with assurances that comfort is the top priority!
The original "Plantation" area consists of our four Quarters Cabins, The Robert E. Lee Paddlewheeler (actually floating on the private cypress pond), and Erin Jo's Room, which is located in the main Plantation house. This "Overseer's House" has a glassed-in dining gallery where the sumptuous full breakfast is served on weekends, looking out toward the over-the-water Gazebo.

Next is the area located directly on the banks of Big Cypress Bayou. Here are two of the most popular units, the Riverfront Railcar and the Frisco Caboose. Both are authentic railroad cars, outfitted as private lodging.
The most recent addition to Maison-Bayou, is our Poolside Cabana area. Here is a unique "Lagoon" style swimming pool complete with rock waterfall, and our four spacious Cabanas directly adjacent, giving the area a distinctly "tropical" feel.
