Osage Forest of Peace

POSITION: Executive Director

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Executive Director will provide overall creative vision and empowering leadership for the operation and spiritual programs of Osage Forest of Peace (a contemplative interspiritual retreat center), and will lead a full-time, part-time and volunteer staff. The Executive Director and full-time staff all reside at the Forest in order to take part in a communal life style with daily contemplative prayer and meditation. The Executive Director will empower and manage the ongoing effectiveness of all programs and activities and bring a contemplative spiritual presence to the Forest with a commitment to a contemplative way of life in community that is critical to the success of this position. He/she is given formal authority by the Board of Directors to make decisions regarding the temporal aspects of keeping the center a welcoming place for all.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The assistant to the Executive Director supports the Executive Director in a variety of ways: coordination of activities, office maintenance tasks including phone and email communications; document preparation, storage and retrieval; and maintenance of an organized, welcoming environment. The assistant also interacts with the Board as needed, coordinates our volunteer placements, and provides some support for filling job openings at Pendle Hill.
