Corporate Spirituality
Friends and clients of FindtheDivine have provided the motivation to add information to our site about workplace spirituality. Corporations are not only seeking retreat facilities to revitalize their management and staff, but are introducing new management techniques utilizing spirituality.
This page will be a starting point in our quest to incorporate the principles of spirit in the workplace. Elizabeth Guss, founder of Cohesion-integrating spirit and work, states "the managers role today includes helping find new and better ways to serve the customer so that the company can meet the challenges of competition and change. Managers can engage employee spirit at work - developing a strong sense of team, encouraging employees to improve their own skills, and helping people find meaning in their work." Elizabeth expands on these issues in her article, Toward A New Way Of Working.
Herbert P. Ely, founder of the Charlottesville (Virginia) Center of Executive Performance, utilizes an on-going self renewal process that balances the mental, physical and emotional intelligences of his corporate clients. In his article entitled Spiritual Guidance in the Workplace, Herb states that "spirituality at work requires that we devote effort to changing the culture so that sound business practices are followed."
FindtheDivine applauds businesses that are including spirituality in the workplace and that are encouraging spiritual retreats. We provide advertising space for these consultants to list their services and programs as well as links to appropriate articles.
We are accumulating articles about issues of spirituality in the workplace as well as the need for corporate personnel to escape from their environment and find God. Articles...
Corporate Retreats
Many Corporations are looking for both the setting and facilities that retreat centers offer! They have discovered that one of the best ways to inspire new ideas and increased productivity is to change the environment of the meeting. Also, they have discovered that their executives, managers and employees are re-vitalized by visiting the peaceful setting of a retreat center.
On the other hand, retreat centers have both facilities and programs to accommodate corporations. Their facilities (bedrooms, conference rooms, dining areas, chapels, etc...) often go unused a lot of the time, especially on weekdays.
We hope to bring corporations and retreat centers together on FindtheDivine. We plan to focus some of our marketing towards corporations to make them aware of the value and peaceful setting of retreat centers. Retreat centers can be used as executive retreats, off site meetings or even for over night lodging. There will be a small commission paid to FindtheDivine for this service based upon actual room rentals.
Only those retreat centers that agree to participate will be informed about corporate retreat inquiries in their geographic area. There is a small set up fee to be listed on FindtheDivine for this service and a small commission to be paid by either the retreat center or corporation if the facility is utilized. You need to sign up as a Partner to be included in the Corporate Retreat program.
