The Virginia Diocesan Center at Roslyn
Richmond, VA
The Virginia Diocesan Center at Roslyn, established in 1934, is situated on 150 picturesque acres along the James River. Just two miles west of the City of Richmond, Roslyn welcomes more than 400 churches and non-profit organizations every year for residential conferences, retreats, seminars and outdoor activities.

Roslyn has 96 beds in 48 bedrooms. Each room is spaciously built for double occupancy, however single rooms may be available upon request. Designed for comfort, rest and reflection, each room is air-conditioned and has two beds and a private bath. While telephones and clock radios are provided in each room, there are no televisions in order to preserve the serene, peaceful setting. Towels, linens and daily housekeeping services are provided. Handicap accessible rooms are available upon request.

In addition to comfortable lodging, Roslyn has 12 meeting facilities including a new dining hall. Roslyn’s largest meeting facility is Walker Hall with a capacity of 110 guests. Gibson Hall and Tucker Hall both seat 75 and include plenty of breakout space. The new dining hall is a magnificent structure, abundant in space and charm, with seating for 150 guests in the main dining room. A huge stone fireplace is located on one end of the main dining room and a terrace on the other, perfect for outdoor dining. Several boardrooms with seating for groups of 10 – 25 make up the rest of the complex, including three dining hall meeting rooms, the Powers Hall meeting room and the Powers Hall Library.

Guests will also find scenic views, wooded trails, and scattered benches that provide quiet spots for conversation, reading and reflection. The Kanawha Canal and the James River valley provide an excellent backdrop for any event.

Roslyn has meeting rooms sized and priced for groups of 10 to 110--for the week, for the weekend, or just for the day. Lodging is available in 48 peaceful rooms for residential groups of 96 people.
Roslyn has 12 meeting facilities including the new Dining Hall, a magnificient structure, abundant in space and charm.
Our kitchen provides delicious meals, served by a friendly and helpful staff, in our beautiful new Dining Hall.
Outdoor facilities include a picnic pavilion with seating for up to 150, a spring-fed outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, nature trails, a volleyball court, and horseshoe pits, all on 150 beautiful, rolling acres.
Personal retreats may be scheduled for Monday-Thursday nights. Weekend availability limited. Meals are available when guests are in residence.

Located in McLean, Virginia, Dominican Retreat is only four miles from Washington, D.C., and conveniently located to both Dulles and Reagan National airports.

Serving both the spiritual and secular communities, Dominican Retreat offers a wide variety of programs and retreats designed to nurture the spiritual needs of women and men from all walks of life.

Dominican Retreat's comfortable and modern facilities can accommodate 64 individuals in its meeting space and in the dining room, and offers sleeping facilities for 41 in the residence hall.

The central conference room features a wood burning fireplace and sliding glass doors leading onto nature trails and a furnished patio. Ideal for group discussions or lectures and presentations, the room comfortably holds 64 chairs.

In addition to our spiritual retreats, the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere at Dominican Retreat's modern and comfortable facility is the perfect choice when an off site location is required for group retreats, small conferences and business meetings.

Situated on 12 beautiful acres in McLean, Virginia, our facility is only 15 minutes from Washington, DC and conveniently located to Dulles and Reagan National Airports.
Rest and renewal characterize the residence hall that features 41 single rooms equipped with desks, lounge chairs, dressers and sinks. A small apartment with two single rooms and a private bath and sitting area also is available.
The Chapel is the most beautiful and serene space in the House.
The library, located off the main lounge, is filled with inspirational works for use during your stay.
The property is a mix of sloping lawns and woods. In addition to the St. Dominic and Marian shrines, there are benches throughout the grounds so that you may enjoy the natural beauty of your surroundings. A nature trail winds through the woods along a restful stream.
