The purpose of Ozark Conference Center is to minister to the Christian community in Arkansas and surrounding states by providing an environment with resources and programs in both adult retreats and youth camping, which would encourage the pursuit of God and the development of genuine community among Christians.

Facilities, Location & Accommodations Overview

Ozark Conference Center is located on a 325-acre site atop Jenkins Mountain in Solgohachia, Arkansas, seven miles north of Morrilton. It features two quality ranch-style lodges, two luxurious ministry villas, three bunk-style log cabins, and thirteen R.V. sites with full hook-up. The lodges and villas provide all linens with a modified housekeeping plan. The log cabins have linens available. Dining and meeting space is available for groups of up to 335.

Activities & Recreation

During your stay at Ozark Conference Center you will find a variety of activities, sports and outings to make your stay memorable. Whether it is a leisurely stroll on the hiking trails, a dip in the pool, or the challenge of one of the Mountain Adventure Programs, there is something for everyone, from our youngest guests to our most senior. Activities include: Basketball, Horseshoes, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Hiking, Kayaks, Nature Trails, Mountain Bikes, Hockey, Archery, Fishing in one of our Ponds, Rifle Range, Badminton, Soccer, Bonfire, Hayrides and Swimming Pool.

Nestled in the foothills of the Ouachita (pronounced Wash-a-tau) mountains, Ferncliff Center encompasses 1200 acres including one of the most bio-diverse areas to see Arkansas wildflowers. Ferncliff has three separate campuses: a Conference Center area primarily for adult groups, a youth camp area for children, and the Fern Creek retreat house. The Conference Center (1992) is built around Ferncliff Lake and the youth camp (2005) around Belden Pond.

Lodging and Meeting Space

We have several spaces at Ferncliff that are ideal for conferences. Ferncliff's conference facilities include Williams Lodge and the W. C. Brown Center. Williams Lodge (1953) has 8 bedrooms (two double beds/private baths) and meeting space (40x40 with fireplace, large deck overlooking the lake, separate break out lounge, kitchen).

The W.C. Brown Center (1992) has 24 hotel rooms (2 double beds/private bath) and meeting space (25x40, kitchenette, informal lounge with fireplace). Ferncliff's dining hall offers buffet meals and seating for up to 100 guests. Audio-visual equipment is available. Rooms do not have telephones or televisions so guests can focus on their meetings. Special Features

Ferncliff has a national reputation as a place of healing and outreach. In 1997 Ferncliff reached out to the victims of school violence at Jonesboro's Westside Middle School. Ferncliff offered a special camp attended by 68 children from the school. The camp made such an impact parents asked Ferncliff to continue. That started a series of eight camps over five years that grew to include children from Littleton (Columbine), Paducah, Bosnia and other sites of violence. The children built a labyrinth that stands today as a testament to their desire to tell their story and help others heal.

FERNCREEK RETREAT HOUSE

The Ferncreek Retreat House is located 1/2 mile from the dining hall by walking trail or a short drive by public road. Fern Creek can accommodate 25 people in adult friendly bunks. There are 5 bedrooms; 3.5 bathrooms, it also has a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Groups can cook their own meals or make arrangements for meals in the cafeteria. Fern Creek has a 20-acre yard that includes a cooking grill and basketball court.
